Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Galena Radio mobile application and related public website information operated by LASOTA. Galena Radio is a hobby electronics calculator, reference, and build journal utility for vintage crystal radio experiments.
Effective date: 2026-06-21
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
The Application does not collect, log, sell, or store personal information when you download and use it. Registration is not required.
Galena Radio may allow users to create local technical records, such as target frequencies, operating bands, core diameter values, coil winding lengths, variable capacitor limits, calculated inductance values, suggested turns, wire spacing, turns per inch, tuning ranges, coil L/D ratios, detector material selections, build sheets, antenna types, antenna length, antenna height or placement, earth connection details, station or signal names, distance values, volume or clarity metrics, selectivity grades, stability notes, field observations, filters, workshop tips, build history, unit preferences, and app settings. These records are intended to remain on the user’s device.
If the Application or website is accessed with an active internet connection, technical protocol data such as an ephemeral IP address may be transmitted as part of normal network connectivity. LASOTA does not retain or use this data for tracking.
Location information
The Application does not collect precise real-time location information from the mobile device.
Third-party access
Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, no personal data is shared with third parties. LASOTA does not sell personal data.
Data Retention
LASOTA does not retain personal data from normal use of Galena Radio because the Application does not collect personal data.
Any local records created inside the app, including coil calculations, detector selections, build sheets, antenna logs, reception notes, filters, workshop tips, build history, and preferences, remain on the user’s own device unless otherwise stated in a future feature. These local records are retained only as long as the user keeps them in the app or keeps the app installed.
Data Deletion
Because Galena Radio does not collect or store personal data on LASOTA servers, there is no server-side app data for LASOTA to delete.
- Users may delete local build history or experiment records using in-app clear history controls where available.
- Users may remove local app data by deleting the Application from their device.
- If a user voluntarily contacts LASOTA by email and wants that correspondence deleted, they may request deletion by contacting support@lasota.it.com.
No accounts or authorization
The LASOTA website and Galena Radio information pages are public. The website does not require user registration, login, account creation, authorization, user dashboards, protected pages, or admin/member access.
Technical-use notice
Galena Radio is a hobby electronics calculator, reference, and build journal utility. It is not certified RF engineering software, broadcasting compliance software, electrical safety training, a professional engineering service, or a replacement for qualified technical review. Users should verify circuit values, materials, antenna installations, local radio requirements, and safety practices before building or operating experimental radio equipment.
Children
The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or a higher age where required by applicable law. LASOTA does not knowingly solicit data from children or market to them. Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, children’s personal data is not collected by the Application.
Security
Because the Application does not collect personal data, the risk of personal data exposure through normal app use is minimal. However, no security system is completely secure. LASOTA uses reasonable safeguards for systems and any information voluntarily provided through direct communication.
Data Breach Notification
Since the Application does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of a breach affecting app personal data is minimal. If a breach involves information voluntarily provided to LASOTA, LASOTA will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
Changes to this Policy
LASOTA may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by posting the updated policy with a new effective date. Previous versions may be requested by contacting LASOTA.
